These are engaging exercises that are not needed for the flow of the course but for students who finished the first parts early.
Fly Between Cities
In our previous program, we "stamped" the following locations:
- Los Angeles: (-118,34)
- Santo Domingo, DR: (-69, 18)
- Tokyo, Japan: 140 degrees east, 35 degrees north
- Auckland, New Zealand: 174E, 36S
- A city that you would like to visit (latlong search tool).
Challenge: Change the earlier program to trace out the path between cities?
Hint: A small change with the pen will show the flights between the cities marked (under the Mercator projection).
Challenge: Reorganize your trip to minimize your flying time.
